Our group are monitoring the water levels of the Dollar Burn. We took our photo of the Burn with the measuring stick in view so that we can compare how shallow or deep the Burn gets. The Burn was quite shallow today but was running very fast. The noise of the water was very loud.
We took our photo from the pedestrian bridge over the Burn. The Burn sounded really loud while we were standing on the bridge and it was moving quite quickly underneath us. We liked all of the brown and orange colours that we could see in the leaves. While we were taking our photograph we could smell a bonfire.
Our group have decided to monitor the plants that grow at the side of the Burn. When we looked back at our photo we also thought it would be interesting to monitor how wide the Burn looks.
Our group are montioring the Burn from the pedestrian bridge facing downstream. It was running fast and was quite loud. We could only hear the Burn even though we tried to hear other sounds. It was quite cold today and all of our noses were red by the time we had finsihed taking our pictures.
Our group decided to monitor the Burn from the riverbank nearest to our school. We will be able to monitor how fast the Burn is flowing by watching the rapid. We could hear that the Burn was flowing quite fast today as it was very noisy. We had to be careful as we moved to take our photograph as the riverbank was covered with fallen leaves and they were very slippy. We saw the red balloon in the Burn and decided that we are also going to keep an eye out for litter in our photographs to see if the Burn is being looked after.
