Alva Old Kirkyard: Gravestone Conservation and Data Recording - Tue, 22 Oct 2013 - 10:00 to 15:00

Having completed volunteer conservation / restoration work in Tillicoultry Upper Kirkyard and Tait's Tomb, we are moving on to Alva Old Kirkyard. The ultimate aim is to undertake basic stone conservation and data recording at each of the graveyards that will become part of The Kirkyards Trail, with on-site interpretation, leaflets and on-line information. We will also create a fully searchable, freely available database (text and photos) that people can use for research purposes.

We will continue our efforts (clearing, cleaning and recording) from 10am until about 3pm.
